Brooklyn Banks

Under Brooklyn Bridge, New York, NY 10038, USA

The most famous skate spot in NY. Underneath the landing of the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge, this spot has everything: big brick banks, handrails, flat bar, little launchers, ledges, curbs. Everything is brick, so bring your big wheels.

This is one of the few places in Manhattan you can skate without worrying about traffic or getting busted. The city was going to tear down the banks a few years ago, but thanks to Steve Rodriguez, they decided to keep it as a skatepark, and even added some obstacles and improvements (see first video for more info).

To get there take the subway (4,5, or 6 line) to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall, head southeast on Frankfort Street for a couple blocks until you reach Pearl Street. The banks will be on your left.
