3rd and Army

1799 Indiana St, San Francisco, CA 94124, USA

This spot appears in pretty much any video with an SF part. This place is ledge city; a street skater's dream. Everything is well waxed, and there's almost always someone here to skate with. Besides the ledges, benches, and gaps, people often drag other obstacles out here to skate (whatever junk they can find). This place is rarely, if ever a bust. It can get cold and windy at times, and sometimes the water smells (if your board ends up in the water, just let it go.. it's not worth it).

It's called "Third and Army", but it's a little hard to find if that's all you have to go on. If you are downtown, head down 3rd St (Take the "T" MUNI line if you don't have a car) to Cesar Chavez (formerly Army). Take a right on Cesar Chavez. The first light you get to is Indiana, go left and follow it one block to the end.

Third and Army is training grounds for street skaters. Definitely a great place to meet up with other skaters and hone your ledge skating skills. The ledges are getting rounded off because of all the skating, which is why I'm giving four stars instead of five.
